About your host "Capt Mike" Brady
Who is Capt Mike:
Capt Mike, a Coast Guard Licensed Charter Boat Captain, has over 20 years of professional maritime experience and 40 years as a sailor, liveaboard, and adventurer. A Boston University geography graduate and 1975 alum of World Campus Afloat, his passion for the sea was ignited during his time aboard The USS Universe in the West Indies. Since then, Capt Mike has operated numerous sailing vessels and run his charter business year-round, exploring Southern New England waters from Newport to Boston.
What motivates Capt Mike:
A self-described "maverick" shaped by the counterculture of the 1960s and '70s, Capt Mike has a long history of entrepreneurship. He produced Whole Health Expos and cultural events across the Northeast, hosting speakers like Timothy Leary and Deepak Chopra. A people person and avid traveler, Capt Mike enjoys sharing his love of the sea, whether it's recounting tales from the French Riviera or his journey down the Mekong River.
